Has anyone got a spare set of crank bearings to fit this engine I was thinking of using to beat Hans and his Hemi?

Dave, I know that Dodge claimed that the E-body was designed to handle almost any engine, in-line 6-cylinders included, but this one may require a bit of massaging of the firewall, don't you think?

:P

Worse than that. I just realised it is a two-stroke. That rules it out then. I hate two-strokes.

Two other problems.

I would have to move the seats back 85ft.

Also when you do the sums. To get my car to go the same mph as it can go now you would have to gear up the output x66. That reduces the output torque to just 85,000lbs/ft torque.
That still sounds plenty until you look at the weight of the engine. It is over 5 million lbs!

So it is no good as a race engine.

Plus you'd have to re-jet your carbs Dave.

Hmmm, missed this one...

Nice link guys! Curious at how many NOS could it take before meltdown  Dave, don't forget to change your rearend for a .0065:1 as the diesel only runs 102rpm it says...

So Dave, tell me, looks like you're alraedy thinking how to beat the hemi... :o
