T/A Chrome Exhaust Tip Cleaner?

Any suggestions or recommendations on cleaning products / procedures for T/A chrome exhaust tips?

I am no expert on this but I would say soap and water and then wax.

If it needs any sort of abrasive polish like a 'chrome cleaner' use as little as possible because these products are abrasive and will wear through the chrome which in most cases is only a few microns thick.

If you have rust on them then just polish away because it does not matter as the chrome is already gone where the rust is and the rust will come back time and time again.

I had an older restorer give me a tip for cleaning and polshing stainless and chrome parts. It has worked great for me. Bronze wool and it doesn't scratch the surface and mag polish. My advice would be to try this on a small area that is hidden first. I picked the bronze wool at my local HWI hardware store.
