Does anyone know where i can get some pictures of the engine compartment of a 318, preferably a challenger. I would like to see how the alternator and power stearring pump brackets are attached. Also, I took a harmonic balancer pulley off af a 318 engine, but the holes on my 318 dont seem to match up with the holes on the pulley. Are all 318 harmonic balancer pullies interchangeable.

There are a lot of mopar books out there that have good shots of the front of the engine. You should do a search of Amazon.com and treat yourself! Image

I will see what i can find to post on here.

Are you sure you are putting the pulley on the ballancer the right way around? Mopar pulleys often have one bolt hole offset from the rest so they only fit one way.

Mmm. I see your problem now. Most of the books I have show the ac equipped engines. Of course these are no good to you as the brakets on ac cars are different.

They are also different from 1970 onwards so the very good shots I have of a-body Barracudas are no good to you either.

The power steering bracket is so low down it is not easily photographed either unless the photographer was taking a shot of that in particular and that is not going to happen.

So really the best I could find at short notice is this one.

I don't see how fitting the power steering bracket is a problem anyway? I think it will only line up with the correct bolt holes on the front of the water pump anyway?
