Help for an old weiand intake manifold...
Does anyone knows something about an old weiand 7500 dual plane?? Power range?? Or where to look for infos?
Thanks for any replay!

By the way the intake manifold is for a 440 magnum now 452..

The manifold is from year 1981-83... I don't know exactly... I need this information... Thanks

I am not sure but this could be what became the Weiand Stealth or Action+Plus manifold. I suspect it is like the Action Plus in that it is good up to about 6000rpm max. The Stealth goes a few hundred rpm higher than that. I think Holley took Weiand over??

I suspect too that this "7500" manifold is not very far from today's Action Plus... I don't believe that Holley re-enginered weiand's manifold...
Does anyone know that for sure?

Your intake is called "hi-rise" and is designed for standard or slightly modified engines, where better torque and throttle response is desirable.
RPM-range: up to approx. 5800 rpm.
Usage: 413-426-440 Wedge.

"X-celerator" is the next step from Weiand, a hotter intake suitable for modified engines. Power-range is from idle up to approx.6800 rpm.

This is all that I got. Hope it helps.
Good luck with your big-incher, Ciampone!

That is just how they describe the Action Plus and Stealth. I think we are looking at just a name change here rather than any major design change.

But at least Ciampone knows exactly what he has got now thanks.

Thanks Christer and Dave for infos. This manifold sounds good for the engine that is in the "slightly modified" column.
The cam will be the (hidraulic) Hughes HE2330BL (Normal RPM Range1600-5700). I think it's a good combo, isn't?

The only one that can tell if it is a good combo is yourself. We are all individuals with different taste. Get your engine running and see if it behaves as you like. Personally, I prefer an engine that is on the mild side, rather than on the wild side, when it comes to camshafts and so on. Driveability is a key word, when you talk about a street driven car (I think).

I think this combo will be very drivable. A good, fast all-rounder. Use a 3.55 rear gear though to get you in the power band.

Yes, the cam has been selected (and all the engine has been rebuilt) with street use in mind, no high RPMs. But there was the unknown manifold and I was not sure It was good for this use. Now I'm sure, thank to You.
When I wrote "a good combo" I mean only the combination of manifold and cam, that I think is good.
