Exhaust system for a 72 challenger

i have a 318 4 barrel 1972 challenger it has a edelbrock inlet manifold and cam.it currently has cherry bombs but these are to loud.i want to change them but dont know what for.any suggestions would be appreciated.

Your "cherry bombs" are a straight through design. Any muffler or silencer that you cannot see though when you look down it will be a lot quieter. In fact almost anything other than a straight pipe is quieter than cherry bombs! Keep your pipe size down to 2.25" and install a cross over pipe as well.

I like the sound of the flowmaster mufflers. These are less loud then the cherry bombs but still gives a nice loud sound. And another point...the price...the flowmasters are way more expensive but won't be rottened after a couple of years. The cherry bombs will be... (although, my cherry bombs under my previous car were half rottened after 2 years) Just visit some shows to hear the different sounds.
