I have a 1972 Dodge Challenger with a 318. I have
a 440 lined up but I need to know if the 440 will
fit into the car without changing the K member.

it sure will. You only need new engine mounts, try schumacher creative engineering in seattle.

Freddie is right, my 72 was originally a 318 and is now a 440, word of advice, don't skimp on the cooling, I ended up putting in a 26" triple core rad and a tranny cooler to keep mine from over-heating.
